Cosmos Network Ecosystem

Cosmos Hub Overview

With the native token called Atom, the Cosmos Hub is the central point of the ecosystem through which many projects connect and interact.

For those who haven't already been familiarised with the Cosmos Ecosystem, it is highly recommended to learn more by visiting Cosmos.Network

Or alternatively explore the Cosmos Hub in more detail at the following block explorers:

The Cosmos Hub is made up of 3 key components which form the fundamental structure of the majority of the ecosystem:

  1. Tendermint consensus

  2. Cosmos SDK

  3. Inter-Blockchain Communication (IBC) Protocol

Sovereign Chains and IBC

There are currently over 250 projects building with Cosmos technology, each with their own sovereign blockchain. Some of those already have active mainnets and their own flourishing ecosystems and tokens.

Thanks to Ignite, creating a sovereign blockchain can be done in minutes, and connecting it to the Cosmos Ecosystem via IBC is a standard capability out of the box. This allows each project to define and control the performance and features of their network, while still accessing and leveraging the power of the entire ecosystem.

Current IBC connections can be seen here:

Governance Methodology

At Bliss Dynamics, we believe in decentralised, open and transparent governance. As a validator, we have a responsibility to represent our delegators in governance and we want you to trust in our opinion. After all, it's not just your stake that's being delegated to us, it's also your vote.

As an active member in the Cosmos Ecosystem, Bliss Dynamics participates in the community and votes transparently both as a validator and a delegator. Where necessary, we justify our voting methodology in the relevant forum for each blockchain, and if you disagree with anything we believe, please get in touch to discuss the topic further. And if you still disagree, we will take your views onboard and promise to help you to override our vote with your own.

Uptime Management

Starting Cosmos validator operations in 2018, Bliss Dynamics recognises that achieving a high uptime can't be achieve solely with a well designed topology. Ongoing management of efficient operations and maintenance is mandatory as well as an active participation in the community.

Bliss Dynamics' validator topologies utilise sentry nodes from multiple commercial cloud infrastructure providers as gateways to the wider network to protect validator nodes from a range of attack vectors. Validator nodes operate in a secure location and are backed up in warm standby to prevent double signing while also maximising uptime in the event of an outage.

Security Measures

In addition to the sentry-validator topology, Bliss Dynamics utilises a number of security measures to ensure safe and secure operations of the validation services. For additional protection, we don't disclose our detailed architecture however if you have any questions, please feel free to get in touch to discuss further.
